“How to make 2015 Your Best Year By Going Beyond Your WHY”

Have you ever heard people say something like this:..

Focus on your Why, Or

What is your WHY…

And I have to admit I have said it myself when trying to help
people,to Focus on Their goals…

But I didn’t understand completely how this whole thing worked…

I didn’t really understand how it worked in the context of a goal setting exercise…

But this is why it was so confusing…

it’s because we tend to use it so much (like I Did) that we dilute the power the concept Has…

or we use it thinking that the other person understands what they are being told or asked…

we use it so much the its true purpose gets loss in the communication…

And As you know New Year Resolutions is Just around the
corner, and you are going to hear people get ready to set their goals for the YEAR…

as a Result you’ll hear “what’s Your Why”  a lot….

The Answers obviously will very from…

My family…

Money….

Time…

Freedom…

etc…

But I have studied this a lot…

and I have Found that if your goals are to be focus…

a better question to ask someone instead of the ‘WHY’ is
What do they really want…

What will this give them…

How will having the money the freedom, make them feel…

And Not worry about being to specific at the beginning, because what You
REALLY want is to find out the feelings you are going to get when
Accomplishing your goals….

When asked about your why…
is very easy To loose context…

Because the word WHY its-self is VAGUE…

And if you are like me your head will get block, get Chocked by the question and go hide somewhere…

I will go into overdrive by thinking all of the reason that are and CAN BE and the reasons of why not as well etc…

and I’m sure there are a lot of reasons or why’s that we carry around with us that
DON’T REALLY SERVE US anymore… and reasons you just haven’t figured out yet…

But When writing what you want, we tend to write freely of all of the things we truly want and why we want them at the same time…as well the real reasons behind that Want, That Desire, That Goal…

Here’s an example….

If you are thinking your to FAT…

And want to loose weight…
If you really think about it…

what you really want is to look cute, pretty, healthy, beautiful, you just want to look good…

Whatever that feeling is…

That’s what you are after…

You want to feel good…

You don’t want to be the subject of all of the Fat jokes…

you want to feel respected…

you want to feel as part of the group…

(this might sound harsh, but inside that is what we really feel…Embarrassed)

You want to feel proud…

you want to feel awesome, you want to feel healthy, you want to feel like someone
to be looked up as a role model…
and on and on…

So you see the Real Goal…

The End Goal in losing weight is the Feeling you’ll get from looking good…

So…

By Nurturing those feeling, getting clear, relive them on a daily basis, write them on your journal, blog, or Facebook post, because these are the feeling that will drive you to achieve your Goal.

 

That’s what I’m going to do this Year, That’s what will get me get my goals for 2014…

So let’s get to it…
